School Performances

Trio Apollo is committed to music education.  Through school performances, Trio Apollo supplements music education in the public and private K-12 schools.

Residencies offer schools an opportunity to work with Trio Apollo for 3-5 days.  During this time, Trio Apollo teaches specific concepts to students in the school's music program.  Cross-curricular instruction is also provided for non-music students.  Previous programs have brought historical facts to light for 11th grade world history students and demonstrated the power of English grammar to 7th graders.  A public performance and teacher workshop complete the residency.

Workshops allow students to meet with Trio Apollo during a single school day.  Trio Apollo has presented school assemblies as well as instruction during specific classes.  During these presentations, Trio Apollo focuses on the implementation of specific concepts with music classes and the integration of arts to other academic subjects.  Lessons are planned in consultation with school personnel and adhere to state curricular guidelines.

Trio Apollo's rates for school performances are reasonable and follow guidelines established by the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
